Pure Evil

That is what Best Body Bootcamp Workout B should be called.  Absolute pure evil.  There were three different types of planks.  Ever heard of a Scorpion {not the insect - this move actually hurts worse than being stung by one}?  How about a Genie Squat?  This was by far one of the toughest workouts I've ever done.  When I finished, you can bet your sweet ass my no alcohol rule went out the window and I poured myself a huge glass of wine.

Tonight I will hit the gym to log a few miles on the dreadmill {both for #BestBodyBootcamp and for #TeamGiraffe #ChillyChallenge}.  Friday is always my rest day but my headache on Wednesday screwed up my schedule so I need to get some cardio in tonight to keep me on track.  Workout C happens tomorrow and I shall rest on Sunday.  I absolutely cannot wait.  I really need to pick up my book and read.

I have to say, after four days of #BestBodyBootcamp I am already noticing some changes.  My pants aren't as tight and I'm sitting up straighter.  I've learned a few things about my self, too: my balance is non-existant {but I'm stronger on my left side than my right}, my core is super weak {but already getting stronger} and the old saying really is true: what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.  I am really excited to see the difference in my body at the end of this eight week journey.  I will be stronger and more prepared to start my half marathon training.

Unrelated: I need someone to block me from accessing Sephora's website.  I have been spending way too much time {and money} on there this week.

  1. I haven't heard of those squats or those planks and I hope my gym instructor never does, either! Haha

Sephora. They have a Disney Princess line now... The princess they're featuring now is Cinderella and all of the line is just gorgeous. Eye shadow palette, nail polish, perfume. I bought a roller ball perfume because I convinced myself that spending $20 was okay, but buying the eye shadow and perfume wasn't. I think I was being thrifty, right?

I have only logged 4 miles for the Chilly Challenge this week. EEK... better get on that.

    1. My Chilly Challenge miles last week weren't great, but I logged more miles than the week before. As long as I keep going up I guess I'm doing OK...
